Search that knows 1000nF is 1µF.

Capability 1

Search that knows 1000nF is 1µF.

Engineers choose parts by spec values (parametric search), not by part number. If your search treats 1µF and 1000nF as unrelated strings, a buyer who types one of them concludes you do not stock the part, and you never see the search that failed.

Fast responses you can test yourself on the page below.

How it works

Units have to be matched when products are loaded into search

Most search that fails technical catalogs fails for the same reason: it is a text search with a hand-written list of equivalent terms added on. Synonyms cannot express that 4.7µF and 4700nF are the same quantity, or that a buyer asking for 10k with 1% tolerance has specified two things: a value and an allowed margin. Converting every value to one standard unit when products are loaded into search turns this into simple arithmetic.

Three entry points, one behaviour

The same spec filters work when a buyer browses categories, uses the site search box, or lands on a category page from Google. Most catalogs pass the first and fail the other two.

Shareable filter URLs

A filtered result set is a URL an engineer can paste into a ticket, a specification or an email to procurement. That link is also an indexable page.

Range and tolerance aware

A buyer asking for 10k 1% is specifying a value and a constraint. Both are filterable, and both are shown in the result so the engineer can verify the match.

Grid and table views

Engineers comparing twelve candidates want a table with columns they can scan. Buyers browsing want a grid. The same result set renders as either.

Zero-result logging

Every query that returns nothing is recorded. That report is the most useful document in the system: it is a list of what buyers want and you either do not list or cannot match.

Typo and notation tolerance

uF, µF, MFD and mixed-case prefixes all resolve. 10u and 10uF resolve. The shorthand engineers actually type does not fail the search.
