Parametric / Part Search
Engineers select by attributes, not by category tree.
Capacitance, voltage, tolerance, dielectric, package, temperature range. Six parameters before a part number is ever considered, and a buyer who cannot narrow on all six in one place will narrow somewhere else.

No other category punishes a keyword search quite as hard as this one. 1µF and 1000nF are the same capacitance written two ways, and both are in daily use. 4k7 and 4.7kΩ are the same resistance. An engineer who types one notation and gets nothing concludes you do not carry the part, not that your search does not understand notation.
Add how values shift with temperature, tolerance ranges, package codes that vary by region, and stock levels that change daily, and it becomes clear why a content CMS with a search plugin cannot carry this catalog.
Type 100nF, then 0.1uF. Then 4k7. Then 10uF 0805. Different unit prefixes, decimals and the older European style (4k7) all find the same part, because every value is converted to a standard unit when the catalog is loaded.
Demonstration catalog. Your catalog behaves the same way once it is in the PIM.
